There is nothing on t.v. that is the equal to Cranford. Beautifully adapted and written, the characters are all wonderfully cast and are superb. The story line is complicated enough to surprise you, wonderfully familiar even though set it another time, and so beautifully filmed that you watched just wanting more. (Not that it was lacking in anything!)
Definitely should be considered a top choice for any and all awards!
